Here's Ch. Lyric's Unforgettable, also known as Cricket, retro-styling in a pyjama clip.

Also known as the bolero clip, this trim was very popular in the 60's and 70's. Like many of the "banded" trims of that era, this style is created by modifying a basic puppy trim (the dog's feet, face and base of tail are shaved short, and the rest of the body is left fuller and shaped with scissors).

To make a pyjama clip, shave the dog's entire neck with a #10 or 15 blade, from behind the back of the skull to just in front of the shoulder blade. Shave a small "belt" line (1/2-3/4" for a mini) around the dog's waist, so that the hair resembles a pair of pants and jacket when viewed from above. Blend and bevel in the edges of the body coat to give a rounded appearance.

This is one of the higher-maintenance poodle styles; be prepared to brush regularly and have the dog professionally groomed every 4 to 6 weeks.
